Finally, print the black and white pages on plain printing paper. Each page contains two farm shaped pages for your Farm Animal Mini Book. There are 12 farm animals included in the book.

Farm Activities for preschoolers, kindergartners and first graders

Animals and their Homes Worksheets

Have children use crayons, markers, colored pencils, or gel pens to color the pages showing the farm animal and their home. Then cut out the barn, stack the sheets up and staple together at the top of the barm to make a printable book. The following animals are included in this printable:

  • the cow lives in the barn
  • the chicken lives in the coop
  • The bee lives in the bee hive
  • the pig lives in the pen
  • the dog lives in the kenel
  • the goat lives in thebgoat shed
  • the turkey lives in the turkey shed
  • the duck lives in the pond
  • the pigeon lives in the cage
  • the horse sleeps in the stable
  • the farmer lives in the farm house
  • draw a picture where you live

Now you can flip the book up to read the simple sentence , ” The goat lives in the goat shed. The cow lives in the barn.” etc. This is such a fun activity for kids to practice reading readiness while learning some science at the same time!
