Kids will have fun learning how different farm products like grape jam, bread, , chocolate, milk, and orange juice are made (for a fun science activity for pre k, kindergarten, grade 1, and grade 2)  plus working on sequencing or putting things in order from what happens first, next, later, and last.

 

This is a fun science center, extra practice, farm unit, summer learning, writing prompts, and a variety of other educational activities to make learning fun for students from kindergartners, first graders, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade students. These are great for us in a classroom too!

Sequencing Cards

These super cute sequencing activity is a fun way for kids to learn how food goes from the farm field to table. This is great for science and to help kids to recognize the steps to complete a task and the order they should go in.

Kids can put these sequencing cards in order to figure out the order needed to go from wheat to bread

Sequencing Pictures

Start by scrolling to the bottom of the page, under the terms of use, and click on the text link that says >> Download <<. The pdf file will open in a new window for you to save and print the freebie.  Now simply print the pages in color on cardstock for durability. Cut each page into 4 cards. There are sequencing picture cards for the following food items:

  • grape to jam
  • wheat to bread
  • oranges to jam
  • cow to milk
  • cocoa beans to chocolate bar

Put the 8 sequencing pictures in order to show the order from field to table to show how chocolate is made

Sequence for Kids

Students will put the cards in order to reflect the sequence of events of these produce to a finished product. This is a great science activity for preschoolers!
