This christmas alphabet activity is a great addition to your Christmas lesson plans for your Preschool Christmas Theme in December! All you need are a few simple materails and our free printable Gingerbread letter cards to try this Christmas activity! Whether you are a parent, teacher, or homeschooler – you will love this free gingerbread printable activities to practice writing upper and lowercase letters with a fun holiday twist!

  • candy canes (as pencils)

  • ½ cup flour
  • 1-2 Tablespoons cinnamon

Put all ingredients in pan and mix together. Smooth. Now print your gingerbread alphabet cards and laminate for durability if you like. Set out with a candy cane or use your finger.

Their are two ways to complete this fun letter tracing activity. The first option is you can put the cards under the clear glass pan or burry them in the sensory materials. Children will look for the letters then trace them with their candy cane.

The second option is to use the gingerbread letter cards as task cards, guiding students to write the alphabet letter in the gingerbread material with a candy cane or their finger.
