To prepare this fun alphabet activity for kindergarten, simply dump the green confetti in your plastic bin or letter tray. Next, cut apart the grass letter printables and lawn mower cut-out.

Depending on your child’s coordination you can either:

  • make letters from the bottom – Attach a magnet to the underside of the lawn mower and a 2nd magnet to the bottom of your dowel rod. You are all ready for this fun alphabet activity!
  • mow the grass from the top – Better for letter formation, but a little trickier to get the magnet read to go for each letter. As this option has a loose magnet you will want to make sure to closely supervise your child. Put a magnet under the confetti and then one on the bottom of a dowel rod.  Put the lawn mower on top of the spot where the magnet is on the underside and top with dowel rod to move the lawn mower.
